Conservative Activism
I am a dedicated young Conservative with a strong commitment to civic engagement. As the Vice Chairman of the Florida Teenage Republicans, I assist the Chairman and the executive board in achieving the organization's objectives. In the Chairman's absence, I preside over meetings and can serve as interim Chairman until the next convention. Additionally, I proactively reach out to all local boards chartered by the executive board to assist with any challenges they may face, ensuring they operate smoothly. In my role as the Youth Political Analyst and board member for the South Lake Republican Club, I diligently track national polls and provide insightful updates on the political landscape, ensuring our members are well-informed about upcoming elections. My dedication to the values and future of our nation makes me an invaluable asset to our team.
Education
I graduated from high school in May 2024 and began studying Political Science at Lake Sumter State College. During high school, I particularly enjoyed theater, playing leading roles in eight productions. In 2023, I was awarded the Rush Limbaugh Family Foundation Proud American scholarship. I was honored to receive the 2024 Step Up For Students Rising Stars Super Senior Award and the Kiwanis Club of Clermont’s first Harold Cummings Memorial Scholarship.
USNSCC
The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC) is a federally chartered non-profit youth organization for ages 10 to 18. I joined as an E1 and advanced to Chief Petty Officer, equivalent to an Eagle Scout.
According to my Commanding Officer:
"Landry exemplifies the Sea Cadet Core Values of Honor, Respect, Commitment, and Service. He demonstrates his honor through military bearing and dedication, consistently shows respect for both adult leaders and fellow cadets, and is a key leader in developing new recruits. He is committed to the Clermont Battalion, color guard, community, and his peers, with nearly perfect attendance at all drills and activities. His outstanding service is evidenced by receiving the community service ribbon four times and the color guard ribbon three times."
In 2023, I was awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars ribbon.
Interests
I have a deep love for our country and its history, particularly with a passion for tanks. I created an Instagram account dedicated to the history of military armored tracked vehicles. I have spent significant personal time studying American and World history and have had the incredible honor of meeting several WWII veterans. Additionally, I have taught history classes at the high school level, including the history of the Titanic.
